:wiggle: A Very Happy Young Lady

Its always a great feeling to be able to return a lost ring. That feeling is enhanced when the person having lost the ring is there to witness both the hunt and the find. The young lady in the picture lost her diamond just given her the night before by her boyfriend.:inlove: She was devastated. He father alerted my local club, Empire Metal Detectors, and they in turn notified me. It was lost in a cold upstate NY lake. It was not an easy hunt and an even harder retrieve. The lake bottom was strewn with BB's. The water was silty and the ring was eventually found in 5 1/2 feet of water and 6 inches down in the muck. Water visibility was zero.
A crowd on onlookers cheered and the owner jumped for joy as I held her precious ring in the air from the lake. All had given up the ring as gone forever. This is a great hobby !

Great JOB! Hat's off to you and your club. That lady will always remember what the nice detector man did for her. Thank you for posting a great story.

Good going , redemption does not come easy , God so loved the world he gave his only son, that he might be just in forgiving man

Great job Dan. Not only did you make her (and your) day but you showed a bunch of people what true MD'ers are all about. ( A grateful person AND a cheering crowd ? priceless ! ) Thanks on behalf of all of us for the great PR.
