Why would I pay more for a nice Golden then I would for a Cortes! Convince me!

Well, can't explain it but I've wanted to pick up a Golden for quite some time now. So I'm culling my trusty Compadre and pretty sure I'm getting a older Golden shortly after New Year's. My Clad/ Jewelry sites have been changing, so I been finding a coil around 8" is doing best for me. I have a machine with a sniper coil that will handle the tight areas the Compardre roamed around in. I've read about depth concerns with the Golden, but if it can handle down to the 6" I'll be fine. Been hunting since 2002 but I'm sure it's going to take a thousand coins to feel real comfortable with it. So I keep 4 machines to hunt with. Just realized with the Golden, 3 of them out of production. Now that's some statement. Lol

I just think it's strange that a Tracker IV for $99 can have an adjustable tone generator and Tesoro can't-especially since I have an antique Royal Sabre over 30 years old that will.?
