Why some hate and love the V3i?

That's a good point. Actually that's kind of discerning. That's one of the beauties of a simple machine like my old MXT - turn and go . I haven't received my VX3 yet, but I'm assuming you can still get alot out of it when you take it to other places. As you said, you probably aren't getting the absolute "most" out of it unless you return to the same place 2 or 3 times but for the most part, I bet you're ahead of the game!
 
The V3i is as turn on and go as anything else with more options.....once you learn it a little bit and yourself a lot.

For me its more of a physiological thing. The V3I is a great turn on and go machine and depending on the soil you'll find plenty with the out of the box programs.
