Just curious.. have you tried running the X70 with one of the DD coils on that black sand beach? ..Willy.

Man, I must be blind. Posted regarding the DD coil, and coulda saved some typing. One thing I've found that often works with notch style detectors, in bad ground, is to reject the last couple of segments. Sometimes there can be 'wraparound' where iron/mineralization reads as $1 coin or so. Knocking out that last bit really quiets things down. can't do this with a regular (linear disc.) detector. ..Willy.

By all means try out your Dis. mode first on your F75. You should be able to run 80 sen. DE, dis at 6. Make sure you manual G/B to the wet salt sand. Should be able to get it balanced at 0 and even that will be a little Pos. Put your Freq. at 7. If that don't work then do it like I posted in all metal. I am hunting these bad beaches on purpose and this is where I go all the time. All I am trying to do is give you guys some info and compare a few detectors in these adverse conditions. If I can get them to hunt in the worst conditions possible I sure ain't worried if it will do good in the easy conditions. I am not one of those Tech nuts all I want to know is what do I have to do to get this machine to preform to it's best ability and get me some gold. Remember I already got a month and 3 weeks hunting these bad beaches. If I can save you guys some time and help you out then that is what I enjoy doing and just think how much I will be learning also.. This is the Last post in this thread. I will post a new one as soon as I get another day playing around. :D: :D: HH Jerry aka Tinfoil

this park? ;)

at the park there's a lake I'm finding freaking lead sinkers everywhere i don't want to elem them out because of rings will be elem out too their right at nickel. but if i had different tones for different metals boom id be digging alot less and i could also run in all-metal for more depth. at the park I'm running in jewelry mode or all-metal mode sensitivity 1 click back from wide open it false a little but i can work with that.

Man if that beach is full of lead sinkers its probably virgin or close to it. I'd be spending a good amount of time their digging that lead. In fact every signal that is not obviously iron. :hot:
