why do you hunt ?

The same reason people fish, hunt, play golf,tennis,baseball,etc.........We choose hobbies that interest us and that are challenging to some degree. I chose this hobby because I can do it at my own pace, being outdoors, meeting interesting people with the same hobby, and never knowing what you can find from the past. Sometimes you find things of value and other times you don't. You can make more money working 10 hours a week at minimum wage vs. 10 hours of metal detecting. This is not what this hobby is to me, it's the enjoyment that I get out of it. Some things you cannot put a price tag on. In a way, it's like a box of chocolate, you never know what you'll get.
