Whole lot'a F75's for sale right now :detecting:

If the reports that more depth is available with the coil up higher on taller grass areas...It's got to be a "good thing".

First Texas is doing well with new models and better depth and over all operations of their machines.

Myself I like their approach. Now I am not saying I will be able to buy every machine they come out with, and I am not saying everyone will get the same results in their areas of use.Lots of different factors will control that aspect.

I am saying that First Texas is doing their best to be #1 in the USA Metal Detecting World.
We all should appreciate that fact, and look over their new offerings to us.

I also like the fact that First Texas isn't bombarding the forums with fake reports and bogus finds. Their letting the real world people post their findings, and letting us the consumer decide if their products are what we want.

Just my thoughts............ I'm liking what I see so far.

Another plain truth..First Texas isn't setting the prices of used F75's..The seller and buyer dictates that price. If we don't offer up at discount prices..the price will remain better on the resale. If First Texas didn't come out with new detectors then we would all cry OLD Technology.... Just look at the F75's that have been offered up at cheap prices in the last two weeks..Why ?? Because the seller wanted to get money for a new purchase. Their choice...and the general market in todays world. So put a reasonable price your willing to take for your detector, and either get it, or hold it. Many who are selling will not like their new purchase for one reason or another and will buy back the same product they sold..So the market may come back at better prices for the seller later on. The F75 experienced that when they first came out..Prices were low on almost new F75's. Then they all learned how to operate them and the prices came back up for about three years.

heres my thoughts about it---try buying a $4000.00 minelab Gpx 4000 and a year and half later out comes the Gpx 4500--there was'nt enough difference betwwen the 2 for me to jump on it and it knocked the price of my $4000.00 beeper to a mere $2500.00--alot more of a loss then the F75 which I have and I don't plan on selling it either not because of the value lost but because I have'nt seen or used one beeper yet where you can use any USABLE boost without introducing more noise-the F75 does'nt need any more noise--if I do get curious about the new Ltd I'm sure there will be used ones up for sale soon after their arival at a good price---look at the XT 705 you can get them in the $500.00 range with extras just my 2 cents worth---Mike C...AZ

With the new ones about to hit the market which are suppose to be much "hotter" supply of the older model is going to outweigh the demand. I'd say they'll probably make the Ltd the standard very soon. It's just like everything else you buy gets better tomorrow. The price for the earlier F75 will probalbly go even lower. I feel bad for the dealer who's stuck with those models.

Having an original F75 as a "back-up" is not a bad problem to have........Plus, even though the resale value on used F75's will drop for sure, at least that will mean some folks who could never afford a new F75 will now have be able to get their hands on one.....at mid-level pricing.

Bill

Might be even some "trickle down" going on as well. As the original F75 becomes cheaper...... the used ones on the market. Those with the mid range detectors may be selling those in order to get the F75 now.The mid range detectors becoming cheaper as they resell.

You can't blame anyone for selling them when the new F75 is almost the same it is like a add on feature that the new machine has but the other programs are and work the same no difference so why not have the best for me the old F75 is my back up and I will sell my F5

Excellent point, I noticed Low-Boy just sold his perfect condition F5 for $199. Easily the lowest price I've seen on a nice condition F5 and you can chalk that up to the ltd.

I guess that happens to some degree anytime a major manufacturer brings out a new high end detector.

Many say what can I sell to soften that four figure blow.

I don't post here very often, but I am somewhat disappointed that I paid $1100.00 for a new F75 with the three coils. Purchased this detector new about three months ago and now it probably wouldn't bring more than 5 to 6 hundred dollars. I believe the value of our F75's would be a little higher if the new LTD had been a new design with a change in appearance. Oh well, maybe they will offer to upgrage our detectors that they helped to reduce the value of. Regards, Bobby

I look at this whole situation from the standpoint that the regular F 75 is still one of the best all around detectors out today and if one may think that the $ hit would be to much and continue on with their original F 75, it is nice to know one still has one of the best detectors going. I recall that when the etrac and v3 came out there were a lot of explorers and dfx's up for sale as well. In the case of the LTD, it is nice to know there will be little to none of a learning curve when going to it from the F 75, which seemingly is not the case with the other two mentioned detectors. I really like the F75. I'm still learning it, though and I have learned a lot of good things from reading Find's Treasure Forums. Just revealing a few thoughts that went through my mind, when it suddenly occured to me, that one moment I had Fishers top of the line detector and the next minute I needed to upgrade. Appreciate you guys! Have a good day!!! Bobby
