Whole lot'a F75's for sale right now :detecting:

They are more the less giving them away! I listed mine for what I thought was a decent asking price to put towards the LTD and I guess they figured they had to go lower than my price. I about choked on my Dew when I saw the prices.

If they had all the knobs and real time read out of the F5 ie: phase I might think about getting one.

Take Care

When Nasa Tom says he has no need for the old generation F-75 anymore, that should tell you all you need to know about the ltd.

I expect to see the old generation F-75s in the 350-450 range before long.

That is what Minelab did with the Xterra's and people got pissed....can't blame them.

When you buy a detector, or any electronic equipment, you don't get a promise that time will stand still and it will remain state of the art. In fact, you can be sure it won't.

FT has apparently raised the bar for state-of-the-art, I applaud them for it.

Remember to see if Nasa Tom abides by his own guidelines when/if he ever says what your thinking.
He has a section on his dvd and probably on his site about testing detectors side by side, same exact location, same target, same day etc.....none of this stuff you read about going back to a place youve pounded for a lifetime and suddenly found a bunch of new stuff. Tom explained it well and I agree thats the only true test if one is gonna be better than the other. you probably know what Im talking about, you read it on all the forums.
If all the new detectors did what the first users said, we would be digging dimes at 3ft by now based on the last 15 yrs of new releases.
I think that First Texas hit a home run with the F75s speed and seperation, be happy with that.
Pretty good on salt water beaches I might add also, mine is I mean:thumbup:

What a shame:ranting:for the people who have recently bought a F75 for $1000. Can we really
put the :stretcher: to retirement on a few good reports when results from the worst ground is not in yet?

It's too early to be talking like this. We really don't know anything other than the name. If these new modes are anything like the old ones, then there just won't be a significant difference. PF, DE, JE, BC - only one of those is different enought to be separate. If they "boost" JE mode, then you'll have to use it in the center of the Sahara for it to be quiet enough to not induce insanity.

I agree! I'm glad they are improving the F75, I have an LTD on order. Thankfully I sold my F75 about a year ago.

I think that the LTD having the reported ability to detect, without losing depth, with the coil 6" or so off the ground... is a huge advantage in hunting ivy and stubble and other hard to hunt places. I still have my trusty T2 so I am really pleased.

I'm sure the new LTD will be one heck of a machine, wonder what improvements the LTD will have when the rest of them come out? The old one by then might be a good deal to buy......
