Who was talking about checking new sidewalk projects?

They are replacing the sidewalks on my block. Checked after they took out the old sidewalk on both sides of the whole block. Lots more rusty nails than I would have expected but not one coin or "keepable" relic. Waaaah! What a bummer.
 
Luck of the draw I guess.
They are digging up streets around my area and laying in new sewer pipes.
Hope to get out in a few days and see what I can find.

Keep in mind that the area where they are tearing up the streets is very old, late 1870's and up.
I went out briefly last night but didn't find anything, but an old gentleman using a 20 year old master hunter has been raking it in.
He's found lots of modern day clad but he's also found old silver and two standing liberties.
