Who here detects with the XY screen?

It depends what I'm doing but most are with with reactivity of 2 and some of my videos are with 3 when I'm showing how fast the deus is. No notch for me as I'm a relic hunter and hunt with a low disc open style

I use neither and rely on tones not saying I don't glance at it but it has no bearing whether I dig or not. Lay some nails around a silver coin and swing over it with a normal swing. Please come back and post what you saw. Whatever tools help you to dig better signals is good. Heres a warning about screens and numbers they can get skewed with junk around so TONES should be your first tool and graph second is what I'm trying to get across.

When you do a test with nails around a silver coin, are you in the Fast program? I understand the concept of having things scewed. With my Minelab Explorer SE Pro I do detect primarily by sound.
While swinging the coil around nails I listen for the "different" sound that rises above the nail sound. Then I attack the specific area that sound came from with the tip of the coil in 360 degrees to isolate it and try to bring it out more.
I'm sure I can do that with the Deus once I get used to it.

that is a nuance that a lot of people need to take heed to, I have saw it quite a few times myself. I will have a video up on the xy screen tomorrow.

Coke, as in a type of hot rock, not the drink lol

I use it to help define coke, other than that i rarely look at the screen.
Would you, just listening to tones, dig a flattened coke can that is flattened from top to bottom, not flattened lengthwise?
The XY screen would tell it it's junk.

Can you tell the difference between diet coke and regular?
