Whites vs. Garretts

I think the 1236x works better in iron than my CZ.The CZ5 is still one of my favorite metal detectors,but this detector works better in iron.I got rid of a Cibola to pick the 1236 up and haven't regretted it this detector works great for my hunting style.

Hey man, You are so right about the Ace housings! If Garrett made up a whole new line of detectors using the Ace housings with new insides and circuits it would go over great! (Also that sickening yellow color really sucks). HH form dirtfisher.Black Davy

As a owner of a GTAx550 it is a great machine. I beleive it is now overlooked by the Ace250 due to its price and it is a great machine. It will find anything the 550 will find. The controls of the 550 are easy to use I have two coils and enjoy this machine. it has now been put on the back burner as a back up machine to my Minelab Quattro. Since I have never used the Whites Prizm V I can not give you a comparison. I wuld go with the Ace250 save some cash for when you decide to upgrade someday.
