WHITES VISION ROD

Does anyone else notice alot of play in the fiber rod next to the control box i believe its called the s rod.where it meets the control box and locks to the other rod. when i swing the detector you feel that looseness. thanks Keith

Do you have a DX-1 mounted on it? If so,you may have to trim the wand holding clamp a little to get the detectors rod nut to tighten up.

The S rod is metal like the rod on the control box. There is a little play on mine but it has nothing to do with the DX1. The nut is tight on mine the end of the S rod is just a tad small. it's no problem to fix. Rob

The DX-1 actually makes mine a little tighter. I loosen the nut, put the switch box on and then tighten the lock nut up against the switch.

If it bothers you cut a shim from a beer or pop can. Separate the two rods, slide the S rod in with the shim, tighten the lock, and all the play is gone.. I just did it to mine and it is now solid. Rob

Thanks guy`s, no dx-1 installed on it. the can thing sounds like a great idea Rob. ill try that. Yea i dont like that loose feeling when i`m swinging it.

I noticed that on my Vision and asked for a new rod,no change. What I ended up doing was to wrap foil tape around the shaft where it goes in.Its nice and tight now.

I just put alittle tape on the rod,,,,,works fine...
