Whites surfmaster dual field pi ...Help please

If your in a heavy mineralized area, your Surfmaster is not going to perform to capacity. The mineralazition will greatly affect the depth. Just like VLF units, PI's are all not created equal.

You may need a ground cancelling PI detector.

Thanks for the replies guys...I am starting to get the feel for this machine ,although there is only three knobs it is a very complex machine to use .I have taken it to a third beach.About 20 km from the last two beaches I was at,this beach is much more further away from houses and telegraph poles and electrical interference ,basically away from the city .
The diference was incredible the gain -threshold was spot on very smooth and I could crank it up without the machine showing any hesitations ,I dug up a bottle cap at around a foot deep ,and also the deepest 10cent coin I ever dug up and a small earing (looks like silver with a fake stone on it)about 4mm in diameter ...all is sweet I am releaved now that is as good as everyone says so its just a matter of learning a bit more about this machines characteristics and where to go with it...thanks for your help guys
