whites new coinmaster

"adjustable filters." While the DFX, for example, can be tinkered with, you still can't make it work like an MXT. I prefer my XLT to the DFX, also. I can't imagine any manufacturer adding such a function on a low-cost model.

I think the new Coinmaster is going to be one of the hottest selling units in the entry-level; back-up; "budget-buy" categories. No, I haven't been a Prizm fan, and even folks at White's know this, but that's because I favor the performance exhibited by the Classic series they replaced .. AND .. I felt that the price was still a bit high compared with what is out there from the competition. Obviously, White's reasoned a way to compete, and in most of the mineralized ground I hunt in, the Prizm circuitry does get better depth and performance than the Garrett Ace 250 and similar competition.

If you want notch rejection (I don't), or a rod-lock (I don't need it) or an arm strap (I use them and can get one), then I think you'll find the new Coinmaster will be a "good buy." I hope to add one soon and put it to use. I like the smaller coils for tot-lots and such and if this model accepts all the Prizm coils (I think it does) then the Pz Shooter coil will be right at home in trashy and metal-structure sites.

Then, like the rest, until I/we get one in our hands we can't really say for sure how it will work or what we think of it. These are simply "guessed opinions." :)
