Whites MXT vs V3i

I have been researching the MXT and the V3i and wondering if anyone has used both and give me a comparison between the two. From what Ive read the MXT is a great all around machine and can even find the smallest grain of gold but is not good at depth. Ive read the V3i can achieve good depths but does work well on small gold objects????

Both are wrong. The MXT is deep and the V3i finds small gold. I have used both.[attachment 223365 Untitled-1.jpg]

The MXT is great on depth and small gold and yes, the V3i is also great on both. The V3i is a fully adjustable three frequency detector and can be fine tuned to your hunting style and ground conditions which will give you the advantage over the single frequency MXT/MXT Pro. Really, you can't compare the two, it boils down to whether you want simplicity or adjustability and all of the other advanced features the V3i offers.

Thank you Larry,
A friend of mine has been trying to sell me his MXT but Ive been more interested in the V3i, thank you again I believe I am going to go with the V3i as soon as winter leaves and I can get out there.

I now have owned the V3i for 3 or four years. I really like the V3i better for me. The MXT is an excellent detector and in my opinion I would rather use it than the DFX. I like the V3i because I can adjust it to fit all my hunting needs. We have to decide what you want to buy. There are many people on both the MXT and V3I forum so there are people who like both.
