White's MXT or Garrett Ace 250?

Yea buut the Ace is still a good detector if your not into the prospecting
part of it. Garrett is coming out with the AT Pro,looks like the Ace but its black and operates
15 khz, good for gold nuggett hunting.

As for me, if and when I finally get out of there at get to the South West or Alaska I'll
get the GMT and drag my Ace along too.:)-)

You Know It is like comparing apples to oranges like most have said, Even if you are new to detecting like the Ace 250 The MXT is a fairly easy machine to learn and Will out perform the Ace 250 maybe I am sold on the MXT more but it is because I own both machines and a V3i! but you are on the internet and check out this and other sites you will find the Mxt is a time proven machine for all around use! There is no question simply put the MXT is a great machine and has a very strong following and with good reason Given the choice I would jump on the MXT and maybe later get the Ace 250 as a back up or for a future partner!. Thanks - Gary.

Look at it this way the ace is an awesome beginner detector which you will soon grow out of if you really enjoy detecting....so spend about $150-$200 more and get a used mxt and know you have a superior metal detector. If you get an mxt and put in the hours and learn it.... you will have a detector that can hunt just as good as a v3i, etrac, explorer..etc.. of course you will have to have the right coils but you can get those later or sometimes find a deal where someone has 2 or 3 coils and they are selling them with their used mxt. Good luck

MXT hands down winner here.
