Whites Eagle II Sl - QUESTIONS/VALUE any good??

I loved my old Eagle ll. Funny I don't remember getting tired of metal detecting using it. I found coins very deep for me. I was told by the guy I buy from the M6 I now own is 10 times better. It hasn't proved it being even equal to the Eagle ll to me yet. It may if I find the right places like I did with the Eagle ll back in 1985. I been detecting since 1973. Battery life of the old rechargeable pack is way less than the double AA batteries I run in my M6 . I can run for days on a set of AA batteries . I have to wonder if I had used the single batteries pack if it too would have lasted for days back then. I use to put in 8 hours a day on the weekend looking with the Eagle ll. At a find of around $5.00 something in change a day maybe $8.00 or a little more on a good day. Had a sock full of wheat Pennies from two years of looking. Size of a softball. and a baseball size sock of silver indian heads and nickles . The Eagle ll give me a nice 1866 indian head penny.
