I just talked with Todd from Whites. He worked in White's service department for 30 years. He is setting up a repair shop at his home and has a 3 year contract with Whites to repair and service their detectors. He currently has a lot of spare LCD screens, circuit boards and other spare parts. He is currently trying to set up a contract with Detech to produce a run of coils as they were producing coils for Whites. I also think he said he is trying to produce a run of battery holders as he mentioned he has some of Whites tool and dyes. It sounded like he is trying to grab as many of the existing spare parts from Whites as he can. He says he has many boxes to unpack and inventory currently.Has anybody got any information if they will be providing any repair services? Likewise, if they will keep their forum up? Perhaps, they will be posting a timeline addressing these concerns for their customers.
Thanks!

His business phone number is 541-409-7263. If you call expect to leave a voice mail. It sounds like he is a one man show currently and is very busy. It took a couple of days to return my call and it was rather late at night when he did. Nice guy to talk to.

Hopefully you won’t need any repairs needed ....... I have been detecting since 1976 and have owned ....... Garrett’s, Fisher’s, Whites , Tesoro , Xp , Minelab and have never needed repairs on any of them . I do wipe them down after detecting, remove batteries in my non detecting season Summer . (To hot and dry to dig). I keep them in my house when not using them . You will probably never have a problem.
