white gold

If thats what they call it. Appraisals are values of what it's worth in money terms, and there is a fee for this too.

yep got ya with a cert, not sure it would be worth it unless i was going to try sell it private, its only worth melt value and maybe $50 for the diamonds as i would see it but like you said it could be worth more but i doubt it? but thanks for the suggestion did you get the key appraised? that was much nicer in workmanship i think and thats what would make it worth more !!

i just put it in the goodies jar so i can look at them every now and then when i need a bit of encouragement to get out there and hunt :clapping:

I did not get the key apprasied, but the lady at the jewelers said it was prob between $700 - $1200 at a guess based on what she could see from the way it was made and the 45 diamonds in it.

that sounds about right as its a nice piece!! well done!!

the ring prob about 350 i would guess with gold content and the rocks still not to be sneezed at and put it with the others i have they start to add up hey got to love this hobby just never know whats coming next :clapping:

Hey AJ --

You might consider at least getting an "informal" opinion from a jeweler if you are interested. While the "spot" price of the gold content itself may not be super high, the amount you can sell a ring for is substantially higher, in most cases, than just the raw gold content (especially with those rocks attached!)

prob should have asked them when i was there doh  anyway not planning on selling it just put in my treasure jar so i can look at them  its about half a size to small or would prob wear it myself.

beat my PB on coins today so its been a good week...........but i am running out of spots to hunt close by and i am not much for driving a distance swingin then have to drive home yukko..

so better bask in the glory for awhile  or hope the beach opens up for me :clapping: or buy a wetsuit and get in there coooooooooooollllllllllllllllllllllllddddddddddddddddd now but waters flat so a got time to get in.

anyway rambling i know need sleep i think

Nice Job !!

Hey Amberjack,
Just back in town and saw your post nice ring way to go. I don't know if you have used this link before but it is handy in figuring your precious metals values.
http://www.dendritics.com/scales/metal-calc.asp?WeightU=7.1&Units=g&Metal=Au&PurityC=.750&Purity=0.75&PrOzt=&CurrencyN=USD&Markup=0
I punched in your info and that is the link I copied but all you have to do is change the quantities and or purity and type and it does the work for you.

hey godigit1

cheers for that makes life easy :clapping: not a bad score hey.

you get out use the beast yet? finally got mine all set up haven't used it yet but its ready to go when i get out there to the gold fields but its just so clean and new i don't want to get it dirty :lmfao: gee the battery system makes a big diff not having to be strapped in like a fighter pilot put a speaker on and not attached at all and not hot headphones, i am going for the buds on all my detectors in summer i recon except for the hardwired unit but i can get in the water cool down a bit with that.

well ramble on me!

good to hear ya.

AJ

Hey Amberjack,
Nope have not used the beast yet just worked 20 days without a day off (Im beat). Yea that was a sweet score Im jealous lots of gold rings but none white which is a sure sign the diamonds are real.
I picked up one of those hats that covers the back of your neck and wraps around the front and am opting for a pair of headphones that are lighter and don't cup my ears. Hopefully I can stay cool that way as I have never been comfortable with the buds. (Just me I guess) Looking at picks and a screamer then Ill be all set to hit the Nevada desert. Tomorrow I might drive to Auburn for a pit hunt and or hit a park havent really decided yet.
Keep up the good finds and get that beast of yours out for a spin. A little dirt never hurt.:poke::beers:

i would be beat to 20 days wowsers!!

yes real diamonds had them tested at the jewelers i don't think they are worth much but they do sparkle nice :clapping:

found a florin today one of our old silver coins so that was kool.

the doc's screamer is just that it sure makes the detector loud have to turn the head phones down a bit. i am going to go speaker and yeh maybe the light headphones or buds not sure yet but those closed in things are sweat makers for sure.

hope you have a good hunt would be good to get out after so much work and just relax with the detector.

yep just waiting till i can get down south and go for a look see have a few places i am looking to go but to far for a day trip from here so have to plan it all out, but ready to look now so that's good!!

funny about the ring i thought just another silver ring and it wasn't till i got home and cleaned it up and tested it that i got excited then all the pieces started to click into place at what it was.

well good luck out there :)

Nice Amber!!!
