Sweet find.

Whats the K reading in the ring 14K, 18K ?

How deep was it ?

.... and like I was saying ..... gold will come in around 45 - 84 on the G2 / Gold Bug Pro.

78 - 79 .... the penny range.

thanks BH

it tested 18K with my acid kit next time i go to the jewelers will get them to test it too just make sure'

was not deep 2in's max

its strange the numbers i found another band 72-3 and is smaller than this one so that has me thinking is it size or metal content? i have a silver ring i wear it comes in the 90's and like you say the copper Penny's come in the same high 70's must be a combination of size and metal content?

anyway i am happy to pick this up today made a slow day so much better.

Is there a stamp inside the ring ?

It will be a mixture of size and metal content. Just hope it's not plated copper.

That's a great looking ring. That VDI is right at the zinc penny range - I would have walked right over it.

Thanks guys :clapping: interesting info on the F70 too will keep looking at those in 70's well worth a look see!

i am smiling Steve because i found it in the park, this little half size soccer field with one end no goals and the other falling over in a big set of about 4 full sized fields thought that it mightn't been hit so hard found a few coins got a good sig went looking for the coin and this popped out took me a bit to see it because i was looking for the coin  just gridded out the small field and started swingin, the rest of the fields had been flogged so it is a lesson to me to hunt the "ugly" places i sure wasn't expecting the ring, but like i say expect it when you least expect it :bouncy:

just all learning hey nowhere is hunted out might be slim pickins but then?

anyways feeling pretty good tomorrow will prob be junk day

update from jewelers 7.1 grams 18K real diamonds happy chappy i think i even cracked a little smile when he confirmed it  i was thinking today how many swings it took to find something like that and guessing many several thousand good work if you can get it

Well now thats a corker...... go get it appraised.
