I think Harbor Freight now has the LSD batteries, the $3.00 dollars ones were probably the standard Nickel Metal type.homebre said:Where did you get the HF 9v battery for $3? They are listed at $7 for the 200 mh, so even with a 25% off coupon they are over $5. Do you know id their battery testers are any good?

I have a box of those standard Harbor Freight 9 Volt nickel metal batteries that I have now replaced with the Tenergy 9 volt LSD's from battery junction, they are a better battery and a better price. But those HF ones will work okay, its just the Standard ones don't have much of a shelf life.

I have some Powerex, and they do last longer, but I'm OK with having a handful of cheapies.
And Hombre, the meters are very cheap. OK for some things. When they offer them for free, take one. They come in handy for checking voltage on their cheap rechargeables.

Would like to get the best in the 9v rechargeable batteries.
My "AA" detectors.... I use Eneloops. Bought so many I have no reason to try any others. Nice to have the 4-battery cases to take along.
Chargers... I'm now trying the Nitecore I4 (bought four of them from Battery Junction), and a nice battery checker/tester.
Oh, watch out (Battery Junction) - I spend over 600 bucks just in flashlights. But sales been plenty.
Are you a flashoholic?
