Where to buy a New V3 W/O headphones

I want to know the best place to buy a New V3 for the price And don't say Kelly-co cause I have already called a few dealers and Kelly-co and Kelly-co was way higher at first they quotes me retail 1499 and I said that's retail price and then he said he could take 100 off that and that is still 160 more than my best quote of 1240 shipped, My question is, is 1240 about the best I am going to do on price without headphones or is there somewhere else I should try? And I do not want to pay tax so a local dealer is out, plus my local dealer is over 70 miles away anyway.

On a new machine, that $1240.00 is a very good price and going to be hard to beat. I can't say enough about buying locally from a well stocked/service oriented dealer. (Just for the service and relationship building alone.) I'm fortunate to be near a dealer that services as well as the factory does and can only say that through my years of the hobby this relationship has been so helpful as to put any "additional" cost savings a very distant 2nd. Have to say though...70 miles is pretty distant too! Choose your priorities carefully. The enjoyment of a small savings... can fade quickly because of what you'd be missing out on. Scott

I local dealer that knows his stuff is invalueable. One that doesn't is worthless. I don't think you will find a dealer mailing V3's except Kellyco. If you have a local dealer that knows his stuff go that way. I'll let larry answer this one. I'd PM or email him before buying. Larry is a dealer who moderates this forum. Rob

Sent you a PM I am near Bristol TN not far from you can tell you who I got mine from. Would go with the headphones to me that is one of the best
features of the V.

Yup - I have no regrets on getting the headphones. I sure like them more than I would have expected.
If I didn't get them, I would probably be thinking about them to much and wouldn't know would it would be like until I do get them.
If something happens to my headphones, getting them repaired/replaced would be a priority to me. I'd probably run over to my local dealer and just buy new ones which would be faster than sending them out for a repair. That's just me though.
When I got my Vision, I had a couple quirks with the headphones. We changes batteries, did some reconnect trials, power level changes, frequency (channel) changes etc., trying to determine if it was headphones or not. After a couple hunts, I finally went to the dealer and he tried to figure it. I had one of the early release Visions so not a lot was known about the issue yet. He even tried my headphones connected to his Vision etc. since he wasn't having the same problem. During a hunt, it popped up one of the quirks and he experienced it then and immediately cell phone a call about it to Whites. They suggested what we already went through. The dealer the said lets not mess around - we'll first get new headphone's which he had boxed back at him home about 20 minutes away. Exchanged mine for new in box, but then I didn't want to go out again as I was getting hungry (I know, but I was. Maybe I should have told his wife I was hungry ). So any I left with my Vision and new headphones. He said if I have any problems, we will then exchange for a new boxed detector and he would eat any cost lost, or simply give me my money back and he would deal with it. Well things worked out better so I guess the headphone exchange made a difference although I still have the early run version of the Vision.

Kellyco is the only White's dealer authorized to sell new V3's by mail order to the best of my knowledge. The other legal option is directly from the factory.

I drove over 70 miles to get mine and was happy to do so as I was able to test it out before I payed for it.
Never underestimate the value of your local or not so local dealer,Ray.

Try Don at North Georgia Relics. He is a Whites Dealer. I bought a Detector from him at a great price.
good Luck
