Where can I get a replacement Excal charger and adaptor?

A quick and easy test for your battery, fully charge it and connect it to a 12v car bulb, if the bulb goes out or starts to dim within seconds its dying under load, if it holds bright for a few minutes chances are its good. The bulb will draw far more than the detector ever will.

If you sell it you will lose out a lot on its value it having a problem, even though it could be something quite simple.

If I sell it at a loss broken it's better than holding onto it and not being able to hunt. I'm getting a White's PI. At least they're two weeks and it's made in America. This minelab is garbage and I'm not supporting them anymore.

Good tips Kered.

On the battery tender thing...Not needed for nimhs or nicads. Just try not to store them completely dead or a cell might reverse polarity. I've restored nimhs or nicads that have sat on the shelf for 20 years. Excercising them is the key, and using a good charger for initial high amp rates to bust down the resistance in them caused by crystals.
