What's your favorite Tesoro and why?

Yep your right the Deleon has 3 votes Dan I miss counted on it. I'm suprised no ones choose a Bandido II Umax yet.

Lately I've been using the original Bandido and a Shadow X2. I like to keep the Troy 7" coil on the Shadow because I have all the internal trimpots adjusted for that particular coil. When I want to use a larger or smaller coil then I will use the Bandido because I have all the controls on the outside of the housing for quick re-adjusting if the need arises. I've always liked the Shadow for the micro-max housing(light-weight and uses one 9volt)and the coin-check feature. The original Bandido is still a pleasure for me to use because I really prefer modulated audio and all the controls are on the outside of the housing for easy access.

I also want to say I give Troy Galloway "all due credit" for the Shadow X2 because it was his design...the reason for me to also include the X2 as one of my favorite Tesoro's is because Tesoro built it for him:)

Maybe I should have asked this question differently I should have asked If you could only have one Tesoro to use which would it be? I know a lot of you guys have multiple Tesoros and it's hard to choose just one, Tabman has enough of them to use a different one just about every day of the week and he knows each and every one of them like the back of his hand. I'd love to try out that modded Cibola he has.

Golden Sabre 11 or Pantera for its notching abilities and likeness for even small gold. Used many Tesoro's over the years and a Tejon would be my choice if I was looking for deep silver...

I have three kids and I have 3 Tesoros. Asking me to choose my favorite Tesoro is like asking me to choose my favorite kid- Not gonna happen. I like them all!

I agree I only have 2 . Love my Silver and also love my Bandido II Umax...Both GREAT detectors!!!!!

I use 3....hard to choose because each one has it's own purpose. I couldn't do without any of them. But if I could only have 1 it would have to be the Lobo....

1) Lobo ST.....Awesome gold jewelry finder.
2) Tiger Shark.....Waterproof....loves gold
3) Sand Shark....Salt Water Beast.

And ALL are hip or chest mountable...

I dont know where to start. The corner of my bedroom is full of Tesoros. I think the one I use the most is Mr. Compadre. They all have there own personalitys... KEN. Ind.

Tejon!

Golden uMax 0 votes. About 1 and 1/2 years ago it was everyone's favorite so I bought one now no one talks about them. I gave it a year
and traded it off.

I've got a pretty full stable of Tesoros and I really enjoy them all. Hard to choose a "just one" favorite, but if more than one is allowed I'd go with the Eldorado umax, Deleon, and Conquistador umax, but then I'm leaving out two more, special purpose, machines. The Tiger Shark and the Lobo Super Traq for when the opportunity to hit the water or to prospect.comes along. As someone else mentioned, I never met a Tesoro I didn't like. They've all been productive and fun for me.

i have always preferred the Cortes ==i bought one when they first came out in 2001-- used it for several months--- did not care for the motion all metal pinpointing with VCO -- sounded weird --so i traded it off ------- a few years ago bought another -- this time i just never really used the all metal mode ---just used the SUM mode for the target ID and the SUM mode is great for pinpoointing also == the Cortes works great in my low mineral ground --and goes plenty deep ===the bar graph will smear on bottlecaps and the iron --- great feature ... Tejon, With the dual disc and depth are reasons for favorite Tesoro. I will add that I had a Super Hot Eldorado a few years back that would probably match any other model which Tesoro makes. Hate I traded it and since then I have had two other Eldorado's but they were nothing like the Hot One I had first. So, there is something about Hot Tesoro's and not so Hot Tesoro's. I have had a few Tejon's and found them the same as the Eldorado that I had. Some Hot and some not so Hot.

I have the Tejon, Deleon and Compadre and out of the 3 for now I Like the Deleon the most and I'm liking it more every time I use it. The tejon is awesome but it's a lot of digging and the compadre is just so easy and light to use. But the Deleon is my favorite as of now.
