WHAT'S YOUR DEEPEST FIND IN PRO MODE?

running pro mode obviously goes deeper than standard, but some hits I've dug r running a foot deep! AMAZING. I know it can go deeper and would love to hear any stories on DEEP scores! I'm sure I'll have a few stories one day. I'm still getting used to this beast!

It may seem strange but in my coin garden that has been in the ground over 5 years with coins from 6" to 10" my ATP seems to hit them easier in Standard mode. I have been using Pro mode 35 and iron audio for most of my hunting with good results in iron infested areas. But for coin hunting in less trashy sites you can cover a lot of ground fast in Std mode.

Not sure how deep (my ruler didn't go that deep), but I found a Chinese coin and I noticed that the stores were signed in Mandarin and there were rickshaws on the street...

I have very mild soil. GB 93 on the ATpro. On quarters my max is 8.5 to 9" That is no VDI and iffy high then mid tone. Less on dime, nickel and pennies. Not sure what your pulling from a foot deep unless its big.

Got a 1979 Penney at at least 10 inches. One of those signals that gives you a VDI once and than you can't get it again. I got a signal, very faint, from one direction and nothing from another. Buddy with a V3i got the same thing, so I dug. Buddy couldn't believe I dug it that deep. Not sure if it was because it was so deep or because I dug so deep for a Penney.

I have dug much deeper for larger targets.

Barber dime at 11" in sandy soil. Damp soil GB at 91, 8x11 coil, Pro mode, very, very faint signal at 82 VDI that disappeared when I pulled a 6" plug.

About six inches so far. Had a few eight inch hits turned out to be bullets. The audio seems to drop off at six inches and deeper. Which you'll really need to listen for those deep tones. Wish they would have dropped that audio off at just a little deeper depth. Or give it a audio boost mode. Been running mine in pro mode since I got it. Haven't tried standard mode yet.I know it works just like the GTI 1500 and 2500 in the standard mode. With no imaging .

I must be buying defective atpros. I am sending mine back to the shop!! Beach or otherwise I can get nowhere near these depths. I feel gipped.

The deepest coin that I found was a 1943 Canadian penny at eleven inches deep. The meter didn't register the target at all and was just a faint whisper. When getting these deep targets you are using the At Pro like a beep and dig detector. Pro mode audio goes way deeper than the meter will register, listen for those soft smooth whispers. You will notice that pin pointing gets tricky, X the target numerous times to find the exact center. When retrieving targets at these depth's you want to make as small plug as possible due to the public on lookers and the huge amount of dirt extracted. I don't make mine more than four inches and its a hingedd plug. It is a very deep detector much deeper than my Fisher F70.

Agree with you 100% mine must be defective also

I think it may be the soil your running over , cause in air tests (beach test) i get 12" on a dime , but not that great in the ground for sure .

lol.....I did the same......I actually had to wrestle the coin out of that pesky mans pocket to boot!

I'm up in Washington. South of Seattle. I bet soil types have a small factor in depth ranges. Everywhere I dig I g/b and around water I g/d at 88 and non water areas is usually around 93. Once I g/b on dry ground at 87 but usually it's higher.

I hit a 69 caliber mine ball at almost a foot. Nice moist soil. disc35 gain wide open
