I'm sure you have heard the nightmares some our having with their machines not manufactured in the USA as far as service. Why doesn't the big three USA companies do the same? Well because they got their crap together! They know that customer service is the key to success. Case and point: I had a coil extension cable made direct from Garrett 1.5 years ago. It was to hip mount my Ace 250. Well I went to hook it all up just last week and the cable was bad. I sent the cable to Garrett fully expecting to pay for any repairs. Well I got it back today with a letter saying they didn't have a wire connected right. They fixed it and shipped it for free! Total time was 10 days from and to my mail box. That means they had the cable fixed within 4 days from receiving it. Now this is the way to stay in business! Thanks Garrett! I fully believe that Charles himself soldered that wire! LOL. OK, that might be pushing it!

ive got the same story

my dads garret propointers speaker was blown
and he tried to fix it, but he pulled out the rong wire and it broke

they sent him a BRAND NEW ONE!!
he gave it to me because he has a sunray x 1 probe because he has an etrac

Yeah they know how to take care of their customers - as if they were family. Their service and dedication to customers is unequalled anywhere in this business.

I have the same type story as well with a twist.

My Sea Hunter XL500 was put into storage with the batteries remaining inside the unit and were not removed. When I took the Sea Hunter out of storage I discovered the entire circuit board had been destroyed by battery acid along with all the control knobs etc being frozen.

Garret was honest and up front with me.........told me it would cost more to repair it than what it was worth but if I wanted to.........they would give me a 50% discount off the price of a new Sea Hunter Mk-II. THATS keeping a customer happy. I never expected that one. Crazy thing is it was my fault and I told them that too.............still they did what they could to keep me as a happy customer and went above and beyond any other companies efforts that I haver ever experienced.

I have two new Garrett machines on the way to me, the Sea Hunter MkII and the Scorpion Gold Stinger. I did not even look at other makes. I'm a Garrett customer for life!

VLF machine. I'd buy one in a heart beat I have 2 Garrett land machines and have never had a lick of trouble. I have had several cz-20/21's with nothing but heart break. I like em when they work, there in lies the problem. I just went thru a nightmare with the other guys, had to pay twice for something that was not fixed correctly and I read here about how Garrett treats there customers, WOW! Somebody needs to take lessons!

Thanks Garrett for doing whats RIGHT!

Steve :).

They would update the GTI series with a new high end machine that is competitive with the new, light weight, ergonomic machines most other companies have launched since the GTI launched in the late 90s. I had a GTI-1500 for years and liked it a lot but ended up upgrading to a newly designed high end (~ $1200) from another company cause I got tired of waiting. Sigh

When I read your title, I thought it was a complaint, and I had to look to see my FIRST bad post on Garretts:shocked: I've never had another manufacturer treat me better.:garrett:

I titled it that way so more people would open the letter up. Because if I titled "Garrett's service is great" No one would look because that keeps getting repeated.
