Whats the Perfect Detecting Vehicle?..discuss

I have a 2000 Town and Country I bought for $1500.00.. Has dark windows.. Runs great. Can not see inside... KEN from IND...

Mud has got to be the detectorist with the biggest sense of humor on the forums!!!:heh:!
I drive a 2007 Grand Caravan with stow-away seats so I can load 4x8 sheets of plywood etc; so there's ample room for detectors fully extended and long handled scoops and gear but this would be out of your price range SO............

My other vehicle is a runabout 1996 4 cylinder Toyota Camry (don't get the 6 cyl) The rear seats fold down giving acess to the trunk so you can load extended detectors and long handled scoops etc; It gets great mileage (about 28 plus depending on driving habits). Lots of parts in the vehicle bone yards!! and will last forever if you change the oil frequently and keep it cool..... I'm not sure how it would perform in snow/ice conditions (we don't get that stuff here in SoCal;! but in dry conditions, it'll serve you very well! You can pick a good one up for around $1200-1500 aprox;.

Jeep is the only way to go (IMO). Don't have to stay on roads.

Hello friends im new here but couldnt help chipping in on this, I use a toyota Fj Cruiser. It has a rubber floor for the nasty stuff, roof rack, 4x4 and decent on gas for a suv. Mine has a rack inside made just for my metal detector .. Or fishing rods. Im chris by the way here in east tn

This I what I use when I'm out on the beach or back on the dirt roads in the woods. Carry's all my stuff and my hunting buddy's with room to spare. I actually don't have that much in it as I had to do a lot of work to it when I got it. They aren't that easy to come by. Took me 5 years to find this one. It's an "89 with 65k. Gas mileage sucks but one tank lasts me a couple weeks, if I don't go very far.

I use a Suziki Vitara 2.0ltr V6 solely for metal detecting and carrying all my gear around over here in the UK and looking for a newish Land Rover Discovery for every day use. Will admit that the little Suzuki is totally bullit proof and dont have the worry about getting off farmers fields after a days detecting.

Reasonably cheap on petrol or gas as you folks call it,we dont have the luxury of cheap petrol as about 70% of ours is taxed.

I have a Honda ridge line.the seats fold up in the back.I have almost enough room to stand up. I also have the back of the truck, and ⁴wheel drive.it is perfect. For detecting and fishing, I get 20 miles to
