What's the lightest most powerful detector?

If weight is the only issue check out the Tessoro line, most are just over two pounds, oh and they are great machines guarranteed for life. The Minelab xterra line is not much heavier and have targer id.

Headhunter Wader/Diver I think. For this reason only I bought one as an occasional change to a heavy MXT.

The Ace 250 is relatively light, but a long ways from the most powerful detector on the market.

I second that.well worth the money ,but no TID but if you listen carefully ant tune it right you
dont need it.
Just rechecked my (claen back yard) and its full of targets again, dug a nickle and two pennies in
10 mins.then it started to rain.

Really hard to say I hear good things about the XP metal detectors range.

I'm not a depth monger.

So, what is meant by power?

They have good depth.

But even better performance.

They also are fun detectors.

I got stuck on them.

I have a Vaquero, a Compadre(my favorite),
a Silver Sabre uMax and a Euro Sabre
which is just like an Eldorado except it
has an Iron ID feature I like.

Happy Hunting,

Tabdog

I agree with the Tesoro brand. Vaquero, is a deep seeker and very light, Beale.

LIghter than Wader??!!

I really was not sure on this one. I just went to the wader web site. The listed weight for them is 3.5 LBS. The Vaquero is 2.2 LBS. I will be honest I thought for sure that the Wader would be lighter? I would not mind owning one of those for beach use, and foul weather hunting. They are a nice unit, Beale.

Wader electronics is in headphones so machine itself is very light. easy shaft and small coil. How one can be smaller and lighter ?!

I have the "Dingo" made for Australia only in the 90's. Light weight with good depth.

I agree! My thinking is that their web site includes the headphones in "total weight" of unit? I dunno.

How do you like that unit? Like I said I have looked at one very hard, Beale.

I like the unit itself very much and I am impressed with the great customer service and magical brains and hands of Gary.

Having also Dual Field, MXT and PI PRO I can tell quality. And HeadHunter Wader is quality.

Buy from Mr.Bill and you will be happy like newlywed! :stars:

You did say light and powerful.

The combintion of both, it's my F-70

Tabdog, how does that Iron ID feature work? I have an Eldorado and I like it for some specialized hunting (competition stuff or when I want a deep all metal detector), but I might start looking for one of those Euro Sabres.

Red Heat Micro XD-17 is light, kills the detectors mentioned below for performance and has excellent iron see through, which is rare for motion machines.
