What's The Craziest Thing You Ever Dug Up Metal Detecting.

For over 3,000 years prior to Nazi Germany the swastika was a symbol of life and good luck and was used worldwide.
The swastika was not adopted by Germany and placed on their flag until 1920. Before this the symbol appeared on coins, good luck tokens, jewelry, and during WWI it was on the shoulder patch of the American 45th Division.
That silver ring could be older than you think.

after doing careful research we found an old campground. we found a large iron object. while pulling it up we dropped it and it turned out to be the top of an old septic tank. the campground quickly started smelling bad, as a couple pulled into the campground and started to unload their car. we never did see the top of the septic tank but knew we had just ruined somebody's weekend.

Dug a ladies swastica ring up a couple of weeks ago. After cleaning it , turned out to be silver with Greda engraved in it , in very old script. Maker mark stamps too worn to read. Just hope it was made from new silver, not recycled if you know what I mean. Creepy

Now that's certainly different ! I dug a Nazi W.W.2 coin last year in the middle of nowhere, on a farm field. Must have been a carry back from a vet ? No idea, was kind of strange to see the Swastika etc.

Well I dug a Merry Widows condom tin last weekend. Dates back around World War 2.

During WW2 german pows were brought to the us to work on farms due to a shortage of manpower. I know some went to wisconsin & sone in Kentucky, but believe many went to other states also.
