Whats the best coil you have used on your MXT Pro

The hottest coil for the MXT is the 5.3, It is the most sensitive by far, the 4x6 is no different in sensitivity to the 6x10 but all of them are better than the SEF coils, because they are more sensitive and the search pattern is more uniform,

I've had great success with the 6X9 dd eclipse.

Now those are some really awesome finds! What a beautiful display of Civil War artifacts! :clapping:

Another vote for the SEF 8x6 coil, it stays on my MXT.

Yeah they are good for coins and relics but not sensitive enough for tiny nuggets

The mounting point on the SEF has to be one of the best out there.

3 Coils that i use regular on the MXT/DFX range are the SEF8x6,5.3 and for deep pasture work the 12''Hotshot coil, for a 12'' Concentric coil its not only deep but also very very light for its size,i guess its because the coil case is foam filled rather than resin as in some coils.

The 10x6 coil was my favourite for many years till the small SEF came out, only coil that i have never used or bought is the 4x6 one not sure why it looks very small and cannot see a use for it on my detecting sites, the worst coil that i own and it is a Whites coil is the 1400DD its possibly deeper but has one major downside and that is the weight, its not the best coil too swing all day long.

I've been using the little 8" Detech SEF butterfly coil and loving it for separation in the trashy areas and have pulled out a few nice items. The more I use the butterfly coil, the more I'm liking it. I always like my standby stock 9.5 coil also.
