What's Next for Makro and the Racer?

I think they will do something that will make the US cream in their pants and its about time to see something different that works and does things we have talked about but no one will spend the brain power or money to do. If you do that you could be on top of the sales force and sell thousands of machines maybe even more. We are all ready for the next flagship that is not just an upgrade but one that goes to a level we never expected..

Like stated earlier, would like to see something I could get in the rivers and creeks with over this way. Some great thing being pulled up right now with those that can. Water proof system please!

Speculate = hopefully a waterproof Racer/CoRe

I'd love an "all terrain" Racer! I'm a scuba diver and have always wanted to try my hand at detecting underwater!

I definitely do not want a wireless coil.. wireless headphones yes..memory to save settings. Pistol grip..although i like the racer the way it is..

Wireless coil? Nooooo! That's one thing that turned me off to other detectors. It means the guys from Detech, Coiltek and the like won't be able to readily make specialty coils!

The only big advantage I see to wireless coils is related, possibly, to signal integrity and the convenience of changing coils.

In a previous post someone asked "are you listening" to makro and they replied back "yes" someone asked about notch filter and some other features so we'll wait and see.

That is what we need.

Thanks Makro for being one of the best manufactures that listens to the users.
Now please take my money for the Racer H20.

I'm going to say don't upgrade the racer make a new flagship that is the next step in techonolgy I'm sure in turkey they can do more then we can because of all the money spent on PR

Personally I could care less about a notch filter, especially if it comes at the cost of messing with the performance of the machine. BUT If you could assign your own tones to the tone regions (or notch zones), that could be pretty useful. I think the new FIsher F44 has that feature.

Waterproof would be great, rachet down the overload sensitivity (it's way too much, although I've heard they did reduce it a bit in the newer Racer release?), multi-frequency is always a welcome addition.

I'd love to see a Racer that runs at 20 khz.....for small brass and gold. I have a Racer and have to say that I quite like it. A Racer Gold (as stated above) running at around 20 khz would be awesome......but likely very chattery (and that is just a speculation).

yep that overload thing is why I didn't buy one don't like that had an omega did the same thing sold it found it very distracting I think if that was NOT there ever the racer would be in my list below so I will watch this space.

Oh the overload found me relics I would have not dug so I love it I found some treasures from that

The Racer is the only detector I've ever used that would overload on a quarter on top the ground.

I'm not a park hunter the racer is a almost perfect relic hunter and the coils are to die for...but I have had old locks old keys guns that are rusted and I get a overload and on my deus it's blanked out so that is why I have both but have been using the racer full time..A lot of fun and my finds have gone through the roof

Hi Terry...

I guess you never used a CZ5 with the 5" hockey puck coil, it would sound like an old time telephone ringing on the surface targets.

It had a better sounding overload signal than the ray gun sound of the Racer overload.........lol

... yes, I wonder which assortment of detectors, coils and settings you've used because I have enjoyed quite a few detectors that could 'overload' on a quarter. No, not all of them, and no, not quite like the Makro Racer, but most also didn't produce the overall in-the-field performance I enjoy with the Racer.

I've had a few Fisher CZ5's, Teknetics T2's and Omega's, White's MXT Pro and a few others that could 'overload' a bit more easily than others, but I will say the Racer is a bit more responsive in that regard ... but it is functional, once you learn it, and you can quickly adjust to it in daily use.
