What's a good water shoe?

They show the high top boot I use in their catalogue.

I would prefer the lug sole, but these have been ok.

(Item #230:geek:

"As for cupajo's experiences, I don't know exactly what he is doing with his boots, but I have never had a problem with sand and rocks getting inside mine."

It puzzles me too.

Different kinda digging perhaps?

I tried canvas wading boots and tossed them after two or three hunts.

Went to the low version of water shoe similar to the pair you show and had the same problem, but not as bad.

They are oversized to allow use over stocking footed waders and dry suit and that is likely where the problem has come about.

Hope I haven't confused the issue friends!!

if you wear them without waders or dry suit they will surely fit closer with less chance of sand/ gravel getting in.

Mine are Deep Sea brand but the same thing. I never have a problem with sand in them. I wear them alone because of a shortie wetsuit or on top of my regular wetsuit. Lots of sand gets in the zipper pocket though and all I do is wash it out after I get them off.

Good luck with whatever you get. being comfortable is a must in the water!
