What would YOU chose?

Keeps USA local dealers busy suppling aftermarket stuff which is good for all of us. So maybe minelab and others are doing us a favor and we did not even know it.

First I would change from the stock shaft to something like the Florida straight shaft (email the manufacturer at aquasov1@yahoo.com)
well balanced and well built at a good price.
Second I would reccommend that you change out the headphones to something like the Gray Ghost underwater headphones....contact Mr. Bill Crabtree at Surfscanner I think he will also hardwire them for you......Hope this helps....HH....Brian

Minelab knows that they have the best underwater discriminating underwater detector out there....and they also know that alot of their dealers make a good amount of cash selling aftermarket products (ie. straight shafts, coils and headphones) for the machine....minelab sales haven't suffered from the shoddy design and bad engineering and the aftermarket sales are flourishing.....so do the math!! It's nothing personal....it's just business!!:minelab::devil:
Ps. I love my Excaliburs!! and I can live with my love/hate relationship with Minelab....what can I say.....Just finding the gold here at the Jersey shore!
