What was your favorite or best find of the year?

Yeah that does get hot in summer

That would have to be the....cocktail waitress at the Ritz Carlton in Miami.:spin:

My first gold ring after 20yrs is at the top of my list. It was wrapped up with four 1oz silver ingots that screamed out. but I'll take it any day.

10k tiger eye with some small diamond chips.

file too large to upload, I'll have to work on that. first time I tried to post a pic here too.

The French 50 cent piece was my 1st significant find. Its in extremely good condition. Found in a park in Iowa. The coin was dropped way before that area was a park. It will always remind me of the day a boy with a dream became a man with a ctx3030.

Sorry I'm getting a little choked up there folks please excuse the tears.

But seriously folks this was my rookie year and the coin was my lst from the 1800s:wiggl

Oh yhea I got me a few of those gold ringy looking dudads I here so much about.

Best jewelry finds with the CTX and the best two day hunt with the CTX. Five diamond ring found in the first hunt and the next day the other three found at a different beach. All were taken chest deep in saltwater. The channel set ring center stone unfortunately is CZ the other 6 stones in it are real. I turned out to be an amazing 8 hours over two days, best yet with the CTX.

That's something else.... I hear people saying epic about alot of stuff these days but this may actually qualify...
Way to go!

You beach hunters are really getting me interested in putting my feet in the sand

[attachment 280862 auring.jpg][attachment 280863 silvering.jpg]trying this pic posting again. although after seeing some of yer finds I'm not worthy. this was found in one hole. definitely buried and not lost. I do have some cool old coins and relics I have found out in the middle of the woods I'll post some other time. Got my CTX for christmas last year, this year the 6" and 17" coils are under the tree.

Hmmm... I dunno. It was a fun year! From an epic street tear out to civil war era camp sites. From gold fields to ghost towns. It's all been great! This next will be amazing! We're doing a North American tour! Let me know if you want to hook up and be a part of the Dirt Fishin America crew for a day. We'll be trying to get out east and down south. Cheers to a good year and many more to come!

it was a great year for you Tones, PM me with information so we can start setting things up, if you do in fact had this area
Oh,and pick up Digger on the way...

James-
That Indian head was found in an old part of town during a street tear out here in Idaho. That's actually a part of the busted up sidewalk that they must have pored right over the top of the coin. We hit a ton of places out here in the west just because we live out here so we're making a special trip to head east this year. Where abouts are you? Also there's a video of that street tear out that we made. Just google Dirt Fishin America and our vids should pop up.

Thats cool! I like original stuff like that. I will check out the video.

Im in the Portland Oregon area but I do travel as well. I was in Florida recently and intend on heading back there after the holidays. 84 degrees with sun or 34 degrees and rain/snow???.......Its not hard to figure which one Im going to favor.

That's a tough call, but I think it comes down to these two although I did find my nicest draped bust large cent and a nice 1820 and 1820 over 19. I picked these because one is my first seated half and the other is my first 2 real.

Both awesome finds Don!

1827 large cent

Wow Don! thats great!

Thanks guys. I guess I should have posted the reverse too. Not only were they firsts for me, they were decent coins to boot.
