What type detecting do you like best ...........

Jewelry hunting.

Not a lot of old coins or relic hunting to be done in my area.

I like hunting old coins. Relics tell me where to look. For example I've been pulling old silver out of a section of woods near where I found over a dozen fired bullets without much deformation on them. That told me they were fired into the air. Some sort of rowdy celebration or a signal to begin an event? I don't know, but they left coins behind.

Hey Elton if your ever around eastern Wv I would love to take you relic hunting. You will be hooked for life

I'm pretty close to you. May take you up on that invite one of these days..Thank you Whitesblueandgrey.

I am a coin and jewelry hunter. I don't live by the ocean, but every so often I go to a lake. Gold prospecting is some hard work, and I would rather hunt for the relics left behind from way back then.

I agree 100%

"any time i can get out and swing the coil is a good time the finds are a bonus"

I do enjoy park detecting at sunrise so i guess i would have to say clad coins and jewelry

My favorite place to metal detect is THE BEACH!!!:clapping: My favorite thing to detect for is GOLD 1st and then SILVER!!! my favorite items would be gold and silver rings in all their forms and also gold and silver jewellery.
I detect beach's about 90% of the time and local parks 10% of the time. For me, the sight and sound of scooping up a heavy gold ring is a pure thrill for me:wiggle:. I also love to find old silver coins in the parks and all the odd items including relics.
I fly to England:ukflag: at least once a year and LOVE to detect in many types of locations there.
Here are pic's of just 2 rings out of the many I have detected......now doesn't the color of GOLD get you excited? lol!

I like Coins older than I am , jewelry , Tootsietoy cars, old badges , Dog licenses lot's of stuff . I like just getting out there and detecting without being bothered . It helps me keep my mind somewhat right . A nice find once in awhile is a bonus lift too .:detecting:

Well.....I like finding coins older than I am to---but sometimes that's a little difficult to do. ;)--------Coins, relics, gold (nuggies)---in that order.

I like changing my hunting grounds often. Go to the local beaches when there's low tide. Go up on the hills when the weather is nice and getting some fresh air helps too. I think luck has alot to do also. Just walking into a field and stumbling over a tiny 200 year old silver coin, or a gold necklace buried well into the ground, doesn't happen every day, and doesn't mean you'll find more in the same area even if you detect 100% of the location. The thing I like most about detecting here is that I always have the goal of finding at least one coin when I go out, and when that happens, I'm happyand continue in a better mood for the rest of the hunt. It is a hobby, and as that, I enjoy it.
