not sure what type...i want one too!!! :fisher::whites::surprised:

It is very close to my prototype. I expect to receive the pilot shipment from Europe in November for trial sale here. Expensive to manufacture in this country. A lot of material and labor. Ten pieces I think.

I get out in one dig a target that with Diamond I get in two digs.

Even old timers with 20-30 years of experience are shocked and horrified when they see mine in Orchard Beach :yikes:

I thought mine is home - made. Apparently not.

No prob,I will replace him. I will supply you even with better ones, improved. I`ll send you sample for evaluation end of November.

My order is made at an overseas military plant.

It looks like the "Beach Brute". I have one that I got on e-bay a few years ago, the original (not green)...I believe that Kellyco has the "Beach Brute 2" for sale with detachable shaft (2-piece travel size). It's about $200 (ouch!). It is a bit heavy but its excellent in the water...the large size scoop is definitely a plus and I haven't had any problems dragging it on the sand while searching...Also, excellent for self-defense but that's a whole other topic...:detecting:

so the one at Kellyco is a two piece, ahh, that's a plus. when you look at what you pay for smaller scoops the $200 is a fair price though I think.

OK, the first thing that hits ME about this video is that when this guy first starts swinging, it seems like he has a good signal with EVERY swing! And yet, he's digging NONE of them.

I'm persoanlly thinking that he's picking up his SCOOP on each swing. If not, then he's running the sens WAY too high and getting false signals with every swing. If so, then he needs to get the scoop farther away from the coil. Of course, if it works for HIM, more power to him. But that's NOT the way the Excal should be used, if you ask me.

Opinions?

This guy had it on his shoulder it seemed most of the time. The excal wouldn't be able to pick that up? I figure a little over a foot away and it would be fine?

I have a hook on my belt and I put it there when swinging or walking. No prob at all.

I love huge, very big real things!

I love to dig out any object from sand in one huge big dig.

With PI it is must. You need to dig often, and digging must be fast. 5 ceconds max. With small blimby scoops it takes up to two minutes. Sometimes four or five!!

That's a good idea to hook it to your belt. Pulling 5lbs with your body isn't going to fatigue you at all.

This guy is Les from Tampa.Very god friend of mine.
One of the best hunter there.Check your Email.I will send you his email, you can ask him for the scoop .:detecting:
