Rick(ND) said:I really like the Uni-probe that is made in the headphones as it has great depth , small dia. probe that is easy to use. The only thing is you can not use rechargeable batteries in it as it needs the full 9 volts or it is not stable, so you know when the battery has to be changed. Mine is old and think it must be close to 10 years old and use it with the detectors I like to try out that don't have the Sun Ray probes for like my CTX and the Deus. The only 1 problem I have with mine is it is easy to bump the toggle switch and have turned it on and the battery is dead when I need it, so I carry in my pouch a extra 9 volt in a plastic bag. In all this time I think I only had to change the the replaceable cord one time and keep a spare one in case I need it and replaced the ear pads one time as they were getting hard. They may cost a little more, but for me these are the best I have found that is the probe and headphone combo and it is hard to find a used set for sale and.
