WHAT IS THE BEST DETECTOR MADE TODAY ??

I'm apologizing for my shitty comments about bullshit answers before I saw only a few philosophers not giving any detector opinion just breaking down the question.but reading the most of the thread theirs good info and opinions here like their should be if I had x amount of detectors I would do a comparison like Kansas is talking about one of y'all should.without being biased unfortunately I only have 2 and only know one other person who detects and he has a ace 400

The best detector is the one you want , the second best is the one you have,,,,,that's what keeps the industry alive and the ridiculous youtube videos going.

Some might think that is a smart aleck answer, but I think it is spot on and a brilliant one sentence answer summing up the psychology involved in marketing metal detectors.

It's human nature to want a better detector with more depth and better unmasking. And everyone involved in making and selling detectors is more than happy to exploit that human nature.

I wouldn't argue that there are performance differences between detectors. But I would argue that there's a lot less difference than some would have you believe.

Multi IQ has a big advantage ..... just wait and see . Those of us that are using it are seeing that very quickly. Something NEW has finally come to us....That last statement were you said a lot less difference in detectors performance... some of us have put a few head to head and there is a BIG difference sometimes. Seems like the repacking of old detectors and calling them new has got a lot of people thinking the tech has hit its pinnacle. Well Minelab has brought something new to the table. Will it answer the OP question? Don't know but time will tell.
