What if ???????????????

I thank i would say sure just don't leave any holes and trash, while you hunt i will get my detector ready so i can go home with you and do your yard,OK. Good Luck

I'd just as soon give up on the hobby alltogether ! The old park in my home town is now a golf coarse, guess what?, no detecting ! Abandoned lots where old houses once stood is a great place to detect on, I can usally get permission to hunt those.Every now and then, I can get permission to hunt occupied old houses, I just keep trying. Old abandoned farm houses are a good place to detect...........if you can find the ownwer! And, once granted premission......usually you can revisit as many times that you want. Just a few ideas for those looking for places to detect.

unfortunately, unless you know the party very well, why tempt fate?
to be honest,i don't expect to be granted permission either, however i WILL ask
to hunt a field!...guess i feel more confidant with that!

I'm inclined to say no as there's nothing there for em to find and so few really know how to dig a decent plug and return the ground back to the way it was.

That's my shameful honest answer..

Hey Elton-----I'd put on my dirty long johns & run 'em off!!! ---That's Eltons funny story on the feedback forum guys--check it out!---Naw, there ain't nobody 'tectin my yard--I (my wife) works too hard on it.-----Seriously, I have thought about that question from time to time and my answer is "no".----I have never felt comfortable asking to detect a persons yard either--just kind of seems like I would be invadeing their privacy.----I think it's ok if you know the people or they are relation, etc.---but door to door knockin---naw! --------Del

to be absolutely honest about this, this is MY take!..have been at this for over thirty years, and i have never asked permission to hunt
occupied old houses .the reason for this is,i have always found other public places to hunt, and been satisfied with that
however,i can tell you,it is NOT fear of rejection that keeps me from asking,i guess i just have not been very interested in that aspect of the hobby!

also, this question poses somewhat of a conflicting mindset!....on the one hand,ALL of us WANT
to hunt a nice old yard, yet we do NOT want anyone hunting OUR properties!..hmmmmm!
very disconcerting!
