Someone you did not know.. came to your door,"asking to metal detect your yard".... You know digging holes LOL........
BE honest Now !!! Would you let them ??? Soul search before you answer the question....

Kind of hard to answer because as a detector swinger I would now be more likely to turn a request down in order to save it for myself. Before I got into detecting, I think I'd been likely to let someone search due to my own curiosity as long as they were careful with the digging.

Heck no I'm fussy about my yard being a former landscaper and all.And I would want to find stuff in my yard myself with my MDetector:nono:

I would let them metal detect my wooded property, but not my yard. I would never ask to metal detect someone's yard lol.:fisher:

I promise I will ...............naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa that coin garden would be like a magnet Hahahahahahahaha

Hi EL

Yeah, I let my detecting buds run over my coin garden with their new detectors to get an idea of how they react over the gold ring and silver coins I put down 15 yrs. ago.It is a seasoned coin garden and starts at 5 inches and continues to over a foot deep with a silver dollar. My "freinds" tease me about comming back when I am gone and digging everything up! But they know that ain't right,... besides where else could they test out the detectors besides my place? There are some real deepies in that coin garden.......kinda like having a putting green in your front yard if you're a golfer.

I wouldn't now,....but..if I did not know anything about detecting, I would probably say "No" to detecting in my garden. If I owned a large property, I would probably let them hunt in the fields, but I would want to know what they found.

AS YOU CAN SEE I'M PRACTICING TO BECOME A GOVERNMENT BUREAUCRAT .

And was sort of laughed at. Truth of the matter is the biggie of insurance claims and the like not to mention a stanger perhaps casing my land and whats in the garage and leaving a mess imagine the answer would be no and my yard would surely not make homes and gardens. Guess thats why I seldom do hunt yards or ask permission to do so...Lots of areas out there , trick is to find them....
