Outlaw. Listen to the consonants on the edge of the beeps and the vowels in the middle. A piano, violin, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, trumpet and Johnny Cash and can all hit the same frequency but I can tell the difference. My mom used to tell me to shut up with one tone and I understood it completely.

My favorite was the Troy Shadow X5 which came out in late 2002. Amazing technology at that time.
I still have mine #0021, one of the first to come off the assembly line. Thus my handle over the years Shadow21

The shadow was popular over here in the uk for a time on ancient sites.They were like a tesoro on steroids,very sparky and gave users an ear bashing.They had the ability to pick out tiny coins in iron infested sites very well......a true dedicated users machine.

I’ve owned over a dozen different machines, f-75 would be my favourite park and old site detector just because I love how easy it is to run and how nicely it balances. After that it’d be the Nokta Anfibio and a tossup between the Vaquero and fisher 1265x after that.

With visual Target I D .... White's XLT, especially w/6" and 8" Concentric coils.

Without visual TID .... Tesoro Bandido II microMAX. Initially w/7" Concenttic coil, but the last several years, the 6" Concentric, exclusivr.

Hands down whites xlpro . A second would be the Lobo. Just took a big step. Bought a simplex to leave in the truck and pre ordered the legend. we will see what the future holds.

Whites 6000. Push the button on the end of the handle, get a clear unbroken signal and then dig. Far better than the Coinmaster 4 where you had to keep your thumb on the threshold turner and constantly turn. My father and I were out once in the Mid-70s when he hollered out "come over and check this for me." He was using the Whites Coinmaster 5. This machine was deep but no discriminator. He would do this often before he got a Whites 6000. Here I come, almost half a football field. I fanned the coil of the 6000 over the area and it broke up like crazy. I said it is not good. He immediately went to his knees with the old surplus camp shovel and started to dig. I ask him why he had called me all the way over to check if he was gonna dig it anyway. He dug it out and it was a steel US rosette. I am very sad to hear that Whites of Sweet Home Oregon went out. Sad when good history is seen fading away.

I had the White's XLT--& REALLY liked it, but the Hip Mount which was Chest Mount for me, as I was TOO short & most Detectors too heavy for me to swing but sure was fun digging up TREASURE & of COURSE the JUNK that I threw into the TRAGH CAN & OOPS! along with a coin sometimes! Ma
