What ever happened to Nathan Jaeger Tesoro Electronics

The Tea Baggers made a fool of themselves, but we are getting off topic.

Talking about the Golden. I liked the old style and sent it in to make it better. Hated the changes and got rid of it. I now use a golden Saber II and a Cortes.

I have read folks that had the older tone liked it better. I love my LST, it has about twice the depth of my G, but I find the G alot simpilar to opperate. I would like to try the Cortes, from my understanding it is the only current Tesoro with tones, is this correct?

@Scanman: Thanks for your replies. I wasn't asking you specifically. At the time, Robert offered the "true reason" for it's production halt, indicating that there was something significantly more than was shared with us publicly. Someone must have taken him up on his offer, and must know the real story. There's a good chance that this story can give us an insight into the current state of the company. Hopefully, someone that knows will see this thread.

I do not have any information on past, present or future products.

Tesoro does read this forum on a daily basis. They told me so. They may not respond, but they are reading it.

I find it unexplainable that they don't take the few minutes each day it would take to give some feedback. Companies spend thousands trying to find/connect with their users online. Here they have the most loyal/dedicated ambassadors of their brand anywhere in the world. It concerns me that they don't have/take the time to be involved.

They probably do not care to be dragged into these types of discussions, Tesoro is active on FB:

Neither SHOULD they be "dragged into" discussions that are inappropriate or impolite. They can/should just ignore them.

However, the vast majority of posts in this forum are polite, measured, and well thought out

To completely ignore their biggest/most loyal consumer base is madness. It WIILL result in a loss of sales. I, for one, have a project coming up which will necessitate the purchase of MANY detectors. However, their treatment of a loyal fan base in this forum gives me pause.

If no one else cares, that's alright with me.

No, not a troll. Just someone who gained a lot of respect for this companies products through much study/reading, and now has concerns. I'm not the only one. Several on this Forum have expressed these same kind of concerns. I think they're not all trolls

If it's a matter of not wanting to air it publicly, my email address is l_stevens "at" yahoo.com I welcome anyone from Tesoro or from this forum to address: 1) Why Tesoro representatives have stopped communicating here; 2) What is the "real story" with the Golden uMax; and 3) Anything else that might relate to the future viability of the company.

@tabman I forgive your unkind response. I have read most every post in the Tesoro Forum, and have enjoyed/respect your many informed comments and participation. I am frankly surprised that you don't have the same questions as I do.

Istevens

..If you read the various brand specific forums on the Finds Mall you will notice that there is very little to no company involvment activity. I think that Tesoro is financially sound and will be in bussiness for a long time. I have bought Tesoro products way before the internet and the only hobby reading was when I would get my monthly W&E Treasures magazine, it was'nt until 2006 that I found out about this Forum and thought it was kinda neat to actively join in on the hobby discussions. Take a deap breath and everything will be alright, I think that you can confidently buy Tesoro Products without worry that they are going to fold. Just my two zincs.

Like Hombre said. This is a very active forum and they probably learn a lot of tricks and techniques from reading this forum. It's like having us be the ultimate field testers and we post our results. When they did come on in the past (Allcav) way too many people asked sensitive questions that they could not answer and were always seeking insider info. They monitor it, but I for one don't blame them for not posting. It's hard to politely ignore or dance around questions that you cant't answer without jeopardizing internal business that is not meant for us.
