What does revelations tell us how to interpret Ukraine invasion?

I find myself emotionally affected by Russian invasion of Ukraine and trying to put it into perspective in terms of Revelations. Jesus said there will be wars, tears and sorrows. I am praying a lot for the protection of Ukrainian people and for God to give their fighters the ability to stave off and eventually defeat the invading army. Clearly they are fighting for a righteous cause whereas the Russians don’t even know what cause they are fighting for. If this devolves into a greater war involving Europe, NATO and America- how do we as Christians think about it in terms of what Revelations says will occur in the end times? Revelations is confusing to me. May God protect Ukraine. Glory to Ukraine. Amen

Revelations can be confusing. In terms of how it relates to this war I would caution against trying to interpret too much of revelation into what is happening in our current events. Although it is certainly seems we are experiencing the "birth pains" like those mentioned in Thessalonians 5:3 and the wars and rumors like those mentions in Matthew 24. Today I was really thinking a lot about Romans 12 17-21 and praying that Ukrainians would be living examples by not repaying evil for evil. I pray for my brothers and sisters in Ukraine and for Russia to stop this nonsense. I have met some friends online who live in Ukraine and they have been displaced due to this conflict and I too pray for God's protection on Ukraine. As a former member of the U.S. Army I am for supporting any Country that want's to be free to govern themselves. This is war I would like to see U.S Troops stick up for the little guy. I think this is a war where the Ukrainians would welcome us with open arms and not quickly forget what we both stand for.

If I wasn’t so afraid of Putin going nuclear I’d be in favor of U.S. involvement for sure, as well as NATO since it is Europe after all. Of course I can see scenarios where NATO would be obliged to go in, leading to the demise of the Putin regime once and for all.
I fear before the weeks over he will turn to scorched earth tactics with much death and destruction. I pray not.

When I read Revelations.
I read it as metaphors.
For instance where the Bible speaks of the Beast.
I see the animal body parts as being representative of nation's national animal.
Bear is russia. Eagle is US , and so on.

Best explanation I’ve heard is the Ezekiel 38-Gog Magog war. However, a lot has to happen if this is indeed the beginning of that. We shouldn’t be distressed-how many times did Jesus say not to worry? Seems it was somewhere past 300 times! This is the time that we’re supposed to keeping our eyes on the Lord, and witnessing-which, I’ll admit, I fell down in that department today… Nonetheless, our hope is in heaven and whatever happens here doesn’t change that!
