what does "CTX" stand for ? what does "3030" stand for anyone know?

Who needs Minelab? Why don't we have our own contest to find the most fitting words to fill out the CTX name and maybe a second for 3030?

I think it means 'nothing' but in advertising CTX gives the subliminal message of "GTX". Where, "GTX" is applied first to a fast muscle car - it has no meaning. But the consonants sound like something cutting edge and powerful, with "X" implying "EXTREME".

So, the ads department just added the "C" to the "TX" to change it up - and "C" is subliminal with "COMPUTERIZED", which is how the marketing department is going to boast it's features.

Not to be confused with the GPX metal detectors that gives the impressions of "GOLD POWER" for a gold detector. Or the "DFX" that sounds like "DETECTOR FUNCTION POWER" for a detector with lots of keyboard functions.Or the ATX which is powerful over "ALL TERRAIN EXTREME" or so the marketing material hints at.

Likewise, there is the VX3 with "VARIABLE POWER in THREE RANGES" or MXT which has "MODERN CUTTING EDGE POWER" or "MUTLI-USE DETECTOR POWER", or so the ads imply.

Then there's GTA, GTI, GTP, GT, and GP, all of which impart the same idea of getting "GOLD TARGETS" or "GOLD POWER". It's all marketing.

Maybe the name CTX3030 is derived from anyone of these terms from it's Specifications found at the following link:
