What does 03 30 mean?

Well, that's one thing that's definitely different between the explorer and my DFX. On a DFX silver dime VDI's at 79-81, quarter at 84-86, large cent at 85-88, half dollar at 88-91, and silver dollar somewhere around 92-93 (I think, I've never actually dug one, but I think I did an airtest once)

Either way, anything over on that side of the smartfind screen I'm digging for sure regardless of where it is. For that matter I'll dig anything that's not definitely ferrous.

Being used to that is helping me out as well with the explorer. I've been hunting from day 1 with it in all metal mode, and the noise isn't bothering me at all.

or whatever you call it rather than the digital readout. Much easier for me to just glance at the aprox area the target is hitting along with the sound and I know to dig or not to dig. I work with enough numbers in my job that I don't need more to deal with after work.

on sound alone. If the sound is still good after circling the hole...then I look at the cursor to see what the placement is or how much dancing around it's doing.

The best advise I can give you on that question is. If you are undecided then dig it. All areas are not the same and will give different responses to different scenarios.

Hello Ron, Thanks for your advice. :clapping: All metal on the Explorer: are you meaning a clear screen, with zero discrimination? Thanks, erb

Thank you for the chart, Slow getting to the E-mail due to work and all. Still new at this , 6 months , but did find my first gold coin with a nice date of 1327 a couple of weeks ago. Later, Frank
