What do you like best about Your Tesoro...?

I started with a silver umax and detected several places in central Texas and found plenty of silver coins And for some reason lots of Mexican coins. I went and ordered an AT pro and used it for about a year. With it I found some deep ww2 coins from Germany and the vichi government at our place in Gonzales. For some reason I just liked the knobs and infinite adjustment I think I get from a true analog setup. Not to mention the at pro's language wasn't as pleasant as the silver's. I sold the at pro intending to buy a vaquero but came across a good deal on an excellent condition eldorado umax and bought it instead. It wasn't as deep as I'd hoped but the thing sure is predictable and stable running. I gave my silver to my dad and purchased a used Tejon this year and I am just getting acclimated to running it. Setting the ground balance is a bit different that that of the Eldorado. The one thing common to all three is the repeatability of targets, where the at pro sounded like a rooster in a cockfight wth multiple tones coming from the same target, the Tesoros just seem to give a better audio response. I'm not trying to belittle the AT pro, which is one heck of a detector, I just got comfy with the knobs and simplicity of setting up and operating the Tesoros.

Start out with the cons. (Vaquero)
#1 Hits coins too deep. Tiring digging that deep
#2 Has too fast of a recovery speed. End up spending quite a bit of time digging vs swinging
#3 Turn disc all the way up and you mainly get dimes, quarters and halves when coin shooting
#4 Stupid super tune. Have to turn two dials before you start hunting and know that you are going to have bend over quite a bit.
#5 Way too light, portable and low price. Too easy to just throw in the trunk or backseat, then grab it out when needed. Makes a person careless with it and forgets about it sometimes.
#6 One 9 volt battery. There's no way it could possibly do as good as it does with just this battery so why bother with it.
#7 Why would someone make a detector that can find a needle sized target out in the middle of nowhere. Such as 1 grain of Gold
#8 Names of some of the detecors are hard to pronounce sometimes
Pros
A lot of people don't realize it's potential. Leaving the cheap, reliable, deep and simple detector to those who own one to find the goodies.

Now that's funny! True... But funny.

All you have to do is go to any ( AUCTION ) site or ( FORUM ) on this planet and it is flooded with Minelab, Garrett, Fisher and White's for sale....Now check the Tesoro Line....Very, Very few of them...What does that tell you mister.

I own an outlaw and an AT Pro.

I have a clean sweep coil on my outlaw and use it a LOT on the sports fields. I never did like the DD coil, but then I am not searching old areas where the goods are DEEP. it is just really hard to set right, I found.

Now that clean sweep was finding 22 shell casings easily. A good solid beep. I have the feeling my AT Pro would miss it if I was swinging it as fast.

Just my two cents.
