What do you consider deep ..when you use a detector

I use the E-Trac (with stock coil). Most of my finds are made in heavy trash. I would say my average depth on oldies would be 5 to 7 inches deep. I consider any dime dug at 8+ inches to be deep.

I consider in the neighborhood of 8 inches to be deep.

Most of my finds are in the 2-4 inch range.

When I was using the x-terra70 8" was a deep target. Most targets were in the 4" range. Will be using the Explorer Se this year so hopefully deeper stuff will show.

I find most coins at 3-6 inches not counting surface coins. One of my deepest finds was three Barber coins in the same hole under a tree root at 14 inches with a GTI 2500. I use mostly Garrett machines with a Tesoro thrown into the mix. Over the years I have used Compass, Tesoro, C-Scope, Bounty Hunter, Fisher, and have field tested about everything out there.
