What Camera Do You Use

Waterman

I am looking to buy a new camera for close up pic's of coins & rings for posting on the forums, what do you use & is it waterproof?

Thank you

I have a Canon D10, I wouldn't recommend it as it does seem prone to lens errors---------- canons are prone to this

I use a Pentax "W" series Digital camera Mine is a "W-10" and it is still going strong even after 4 years heavy use around the saltwater beaches of South Jersey....It takes great closeups and the video feature isn't bad either....the key is to carry it in a waterproof bag when not in use and you are carrying it while hunting....HH....Brian

I bought the Pentex Optio W80 on Amazon (the best price) I did all the research on the Internet and then asked for opinions on this site. It was a wise choice (always good advice here) water proof to 16 feet. freeze proof HD video under and out of water Macro is amazing and 12.1 meg. I hope this helps you...Good luck. P.S These picks were the 2ND day i owned the camera, click on the pictures and note the detail even at low res.

I have a W 30 pentax, had it now for 2 years and it works fine. Takes great pics. They have a new W 90 my daughter just bought 12.1 pixel for around $300.00. You can find the W 30 for a lot less. HH!
