What are your thoughts on this ?

I think if everyone would accept Jesus things would get better as brotherly love would stop all the wars and stealing. The fact is that this will never happen and the Bible tells what is going to happen.

Good afternoon, Bill, thank you again for this opportunity, this passage is yet another example of ; Is salvation gained by grace or works. We see clearly, why and what grounds thier plea wa over rulled, verse, 23, I never knew you; depart from me ye workers of iniquity. Yes, sin pays a wage, Rom. 6;23 for the wages of sin is death , but [in stark contrast to the wages of sin] the gift of God is eternal [there is our favorite word again, eternal ] life through Jesus Christ our Lord , notice the verse reads through Jesus Christ, in contrast to what the workers of iniquity said they had done]. Grace will bring a man to heaven, without working miricals, but working miricals will not bring a man to heaven, with out grace. Lets look at the word " iniquity" yes, its sin, but it differs, in the fact that, it specificly has the idea of my attitude tward sin. this verse, pslm 66;18 uses the very same word and can help us understand.

Iniquity, example, lets say I have a besetting sin, alcohal, yes 1 john 1;9 is true and He will forgive me, but if I don't address this sin problm in a perminate mannor, { continually to use God as a convient erasser for my sin, and never asking God to help me to rid me of this ] my attitude being, I don't mind sinning, in fact even insome cases, looking to sin. God cannot look past, and be pleased with me. Again He will forgive my sin, but not my attitude tward my sin. Sin breaks the fellowship {between God and man ] but not the realationship, thus eternal security. please consider the contrast, between 1 john 1;9 and 1 john 3;9 and we see clearly the relationship is not broken. If I have not answered your specific question, please let me know. pslm 126;3
