Well at least that explains the reason WHY woody likes to follow me around and tries to make me look like a idiot. He has racist views against Southerners...All along I really just thought it was because I offended his detector.
 
The Southerners thing was actually a joke,and to be honest you guys made a point by zeroing In On it.. Calabash, you don’t need my help to look like a idiot..

That was a pretty dumb thing to say . I'm in Southern Alabama and I'm just smart enough to easily see that comment without trying to look for it. Down here the country runs normal, no masks, everything is open, everyone is happy. And no shots. Your comment would be better directed to people that don't live like us southerners. :).
 
I personally don't use Garrett, First Texas , tesoro, whites detectors. I have but for me XP , Minelab and Nokta Makro is better. But no where in that sentence did I insult anyone's manhood.. but for some reason when a detector is said to be weak or insufficient the someone feels like that is a direct shot at their manhood. I just don't get it. I have alot of passion for my awesome hobby and I interact with many of you. I've bought things from Woodbutcher and have got great service if I
remember right. Passion comes out of people in sonmany different ways. I see Calabash and his passion in his videos. I don't see whatever woodbutcher sees. I can see other people's passion in their posts. It's real. I would bet if someone was broke down on the side of the road most of us would help. Most I know anyway. So let's not get so offended over a detector as it's no different than a hammer, just a tool we use to make life easier.

Im not pissed off .but we can all tell you are. I actually asked you to not be so pissed off over a detector. I said it wasn't a reference to your manhood but obviously I was wrong about that. But it's easy to see where you stand on where people live. Down here we don't support communism or socialism. We live free. That's another discussion. We looted and burned down cities after the statues were removed .. oh wait only northerners destroy their own cities and then complain there are no jobs or places to shop. Lol.

Nah,I'm not mad. Just having a little fun,that's all.. I can get on my own kind up here in pennsyltucky just as much as I can you southern boys, so take it with a bit of fun.No harm intended,unless you truly are thin skinned.
As to what I said about the country being the way it is, probably hit some hard and shouldn't have been said. Truth is I'm not much for politics,and it was meant towards calabash as a dig, not as a whole. But I can see some are sensitive and I can see where it was taken out of my meaning. So no offense guys, could care less if your east,south west or north, really.
But, if guys still wanna have some fun with these little digs,I'm game,all fun to me

Well I'm retire from Dept of Corrections so not only do I have thick skin I am desensitized. I don't watch much news, but care deeply how the country is being ran into the ground . I love my freedoms and will fight to keep them. You say it wasn't a political statement but I see it differently. You can say many things about me, but don't ever blame southerners far anything this admin is screwing up in this country. Touchy subject. That's all

Well there is Austin Texas that is riddled with people that change their gender daily. But I don't know of any cities east of Texas like that lol

Yeah the simplex is pretty sweet for a low cost detector. It actually has alot of the deus inside it. Park 1= deep park 2= fast and field = pitch mode. Also uses same shaped shaft. The simplex lower rod fits in the deus . I have the deus 2 on order. Since I live on the Gulf Coast and didnt want to dunk my equinox I will try a deus 2. I compared the deus and simplex in a few areas and the simplex did well but did fall behind overall but wow for $238 it's a beast.

The Deus lower rod is a little bit shorter than the Simplex lower rod. The Simplex is also made of carbon fiber. And yes they do interchange in the shaft but it's a little bit different story at the coil It's about the same width and you could make it work but you'd have to put some kind of a sleeve inside the Simplex lower to make it work
