What am I doing wrong

Thanks Steve. Tom, I understand and have tried search profile reset and factory reset to "jar" the machine back to normal operation to no avail. Des D, I should be so lucky that it self remedied . After waiting months for the detector, it sux to have to pay more money and time for a fix. Got the machine mid April and been out twice using the factory settings. Now I have some time off from work so I thought I would set up my preferences. Well, so much for that. Air test tell me it still works properly on detection so I will put up with the inconvenience of resetting preferences for a few days before sending it back in. Thanks again to all and good luck to everybody.

You won't have to pay anything minelab will cover it,just your time.
